WHO WE ARE
The art of life and business; why?
In 1930 one of founders of modern economic theory John Keynes wrote an essay Economic Possibilities for our Grandchildren.
In the essay Keynes (picture from Wiki) made some predictions which have proved quite prophetic.
He predicted that within 100 years’ in western society, providing for the basics of life would no longer be a problem but managing this abundance would lead to a “nervous breakdown” of society. That people would use money to attempt to buy happiness; todays preoccupation with unhealthy forms of escapism is a perfect illustration of this (google affluenza).
Keynes went on to offer a solution “The strenuous purposeful money-makers may carry all of us along with them into the lap of economic abundance. But it will be those peoples, who can keep alive, and cultivate into a fuller perfection, the art of life itself and do not sell themselves for the means of life, who will be able to enjoy the abundance when it comes.” (Keynes, 1930)

With over 30 years’ experience in starting, developing and managing businesses, Steve now guides and supports businesses and organisations to success.
He has a highly consultative approach this blended with his management style, (which is a very effective combination of a high level strategic thinking with practical application) makes him an extremely effective governance expert.

Steve is a current judge for the Waikato Chamber of Commerce Westpac Excellence Awards, a member of the Waikato Lean Cluster and a member of the Institute of Directors (MInstD). He also sits on six boards, chairing two of them, covering a wide variety of industries, from start-ups to large organisations.
